About
Iraq shouldn't only consume AI.
It can build it.
Warka Vision is a computer-vision company engineered in Baghdad. We build identity-verification infrastructure — the kind of AI that has to work in the real world, under real constraints, for real institutions.
The Mask of Warka · Uruk, ~3100 BCE — among the earliest known sculptures of a human face
Why “Warka”
Around five thousand years ago in Uruk — modern Warka, southern Iraq — an artist carved what is among the earliest known sculptures of a human face: the Mask of Warka. The first civilization to write was also among the first to look carefully at a face and record what it saw. We named the company after that act of attention. Teaching machines to see faces accurately, fairly, and securely is our continuation of it.
What we work on
Computer vision
Detection, verification, liveness, quality — the full face pipeline.
AI engineering
Models are half the work; serving them reliably is the other half.
Practical research
Benchmarks and evaluation protocols before claims.
Regional conditions
The environments, devices, and variation our region actually has.
Developer infrastructure
APIs, docs, and tooling that respect an engineer's time.
Responsible biometrics
Privacy, security, and consent as design inputs, not disclaimers.

How we work
Evidence over adjectives
If we haven't measured it, we say so.
Real-world first
A model that only works in the lab doesn't work.
Security is a feature
Biometric data is treated as the most sensitive thing we hold.
Built in Iraq, for everywhere
Regional depth, global standards.
